Liposuction Boston

Who?
Most liposuction patients are looking to reduce the wrinkled, rippling look of concentrated fat deposits. This is usually fat that doesn't respond to exercise or diets. Common areas of treatment include the hips, thighs, arms, abdomen, chin, neck, knees, and ankles.

What?
The procedure usually takes several hours, though larger volume liposuction can take quite a bit longer. It is usually performed on an outpatient basis, but again, more extensive work might require an overnight stay, and anesthesia choices can vary. The procedure is permanent, removing fat cells through a tubular device, called a cannula, and vacuum-like tool.

Most patients are back to work 1-2 weeks after having the surgery, and it can be up to a month before strenuous activity can be taken on. Complete fading of bruising and swelling can take several months, and sometimes up to 6 or more.
